What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Are children allowed?
Yes, we welcome children at the inn.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the inn. Small pets may be allowed in the cottage. Please contact us in advance.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, breakfast is included with your stay. We can accommodate dietary needs including gluten-free and nut-free. Please let us know ahead of time.
Where are you located?
Yes, complimentary on-site parking is available for guests.
Is the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens nearby?
Yes, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is just a short drive from Five Gables Inn, typically about 10 to 15 minutes.
It is one of the top attractions in the region, featuring beautiful walking paths, seasonal displays, and the well known giant trolls sculpture exhibit.
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance during peak season, as it can sell out, especially in summer and fall. If you need directions, timing recommendations, or help planning your visit, we are happy to assist.
What are some popular things to do nearby
In addition to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, guests enjoy whale watching tours, sailing excursions, kayaking, and exploring the shops and restaurants of Boothbay Harbor. We are happy to recommend activities based on your interests and help you plan your time in the area.
When are you open?
Five Gables Inn operates seasonally from May through October.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that travel plans can change. As a small inn, cancellations with short notice can significantly impact our operations. Our policies are as follows:
Inn Reservations
Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of the deposit, less a $40 processing fee.
Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are responsible for the full cost of the reservation unless the room is rebooked. If the room is rebooked, you will be refunded the difference, less the $40 processing fee.
This policy also applies to changes that shorten your stay. No refunds are provided for late arrivals or early departures.
Cottage Reservations
Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to arrival to receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee.
Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are responsible for the full cost of the reservation.
